Who can enter the 2020-21 UTS Awards?

Creative Excellence Awards is open to all independent short films that meet the following criteria:

Student (School and College)

While Submitting your Movie. Director should submit Students ID Card

What do I need to do to enter the 2020-21 UTS Awards?

Select the Category you wish to Enter. Complete the Entry form and submit - Registration Click Here

Can my film be in any language?

No. Only Tamil Language

What length does my short film have to be?

We accept films up to 7 Minutes in Length. Total running time must be less than 7 minutes in length, including front and back credits. There is no minimum running time limitation.

Category 2 (Directors who directed 1 to 5 Movies)

Say NO to OLD AGE HOMES & YES to FAMILY HOMES /
Stop Pushing your Parents into Old Age Homes!!!

Category 2 - Entry Registration Fee

INR 2,000/-.    US$ 30

Category 3 (Directors who directed more than 6 Movies)

Thriller or Comedy in Horror Movies or Challenges and Problems Faced By Women & Solution

Category 3 - Entry Registration Fee

INR 3,000/-.    US$ 40

Can I enter more than one film?
 

Multiple entries can be submitted, but with separate entry forms "with Separate Email Address"
Each film is considered as a new entry.

Do I get Cash Award?

Yes Top 3 Movies will get Cash Award

Is our Entire Team will get Award?

Top 3 Movies, Only Director get Dir KB Memento. Rest of the team will get UTS Memento and Certificate

Deadline Registration, Selection & Event Details

Registration (On-Line Registration)

You can start sending Immediately. After online Registration. We will contact the Director. Once everything is satisfied then Entry Fee Process.

1st November 2020

A Panel of Eminent Jury Member's Final Selection Process will be in December 2020

Grand Award Ceremony

January 2021 (After Pongal).  Event Venue Option 1 "Chennai"  or Option 2 "Dubai"

Full Day Event (Morning Session)

Each Category Top 10 Movies will be Screen

Nomination (Evening Award Ceremony, Entertainment Event)

Top 6 Movies (Trailer or Scene)

Winner (Each Category)

Winner's Full Movie will be Screen during Event

UTS Movies and UTS Social Media Page

All the Movies will be published-UTS Movies web page, after the Event. "Will discuss with Director"

Jury Members (Selection Committee)

A Panel of Eminent Jury Members (Confidential). Very Senior Top Directors
** Purposely we don't want to announce our Jury, because by mistake if any of the Participant contact our Jury, it will create a bad Impression **

What Channel and Digital will the show be on?

Yes the details will follow soon

What if my film has already been submitted to a film festival?
 

No problem, but
1) The film has not already won or placed as a finalist in any Awards
2) As long as you have not entered into any exclusivity deals with the festivals.

Do I have the right to withdraw my short film?
 

Films once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until the Event  is over.

Can I make changes to my film once I have submitted?

Yes Possible. Only Two times you can change the film "Before The Deadline"

What type of file can I upload ?

The video must be in .MP4 or .MOV format.

Applicant can send the Film in DVD or in Pen Drive (Video Format .MP4 or .MOV) OR UTS Movies FTP Folder or Google Drive or WeTransfer (Maximum 2GB you can transfer) link to ramesh_vis@hotmail.com and ramesh@utsmovies.com with entry form

Is my data safe?

Nothing to Worry

Copyrights

Short films that are submitted must be the entrants’ original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sound and/ or images presented in your short film.
By entering the Festival, the entrant agrees that the UTS Movies will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by you or your short film.

After On-Line Registration. Our Team will talk to Director. Once everything is clear. Then Entry Fee Process starts
